Beware ...
A week or so ago I posted a couple of deer images - including this one.
This morning it appeared as a headline photo in a Sky News article entitled 'Deer cull urged by experts'.
It had been lightly photoshopped but is unmistakably mine.
Needless to say, no consents were sought or given.
Should I just be flattered . What would you do.
I appreciate I may have listed this in the wrong section. No doubt administration will move it if it is.
Thanks for that MT. The same thought was going through my mind.
But it does make you wonder where they got it from ....

From somewhere that you posted it, perhaps it was here, no way to tell. But as small as they posted the image, there is no way to make your shots immune from theft. Even a watermark is useless as they just crop it off, as in this example.

Welcome to the real world. Sad but true, someone will hack your photo and claim it as their own. Been there !
make them pay up i had a very similar experience with my straws photo someone used and claimed it was theirs so i threatened legal action they soon retracted and credited me with the pic.
no it was some guy who used my picture in a contest he won i didnt think it was that good to be honest but when i saw his entry i hit the roof ,i rang the magazine concerned sent them MY copy and they checked the exif data etc and made him apologise and sent me a memory card for my troubles. Some people will do anything for a shot of glory :{.
Yup, I was just going to post that you send your photo with the exif data and compare them.
That is really lousy and shows a sick mind to steal someone else photo without credit.

sarge carrying on from this subject i took some pictures last year of the olympics the pictures i took were of hms ocean coming through the thames barrier ,i got approached by a local paper who asked to use it so i said sure (no fee mentioned or asked for) well a week later we were out shopping and my misses saw the pic in the local paper i was chuffed but what i didnt know was they pushed the picture to the national press and it was used in 2 national papers i got no fee but i did get the credit so i was content.what it has taught me is people can be bloody unscrupulous at times.
Does look close but it doesn't look like the same deer. Maybe it's just my eyes but your deer has one tine less than the deer in the "sky" pic...... check out the left side of the picture - the deers right side.

Which makes the animal lop sided -7 points on one side, six on the other!
I'm afraid it is mine and the photoshop job is pretty crude.
They have bent some of the antlers, filled in the body etc. The chances of someone else taking that shop with an identical horizon are spectacularly low!

I think Stephanie is correct. There are more tines on the news article than your posted photo.

Good eye MissStephie. As I look at the pic again I can see the tilt of the head is different also when compared to the background. Not the same shot. Is this a common pose for a Red Deer? I have never seen one before.

I'm sorry but I don't think it is the same deer or picture, just my opinion. (to me it's a very similar pic but not close enough)
