I have 2 rescued dogs. 1 adopted me 12 years ago and what a love. The other adopted me about 3 months ago and we are crazy about each other. The best dogs are either found or adopt you. No question about it. I have ad dogs for 70 years and know this to be true.

Cool! In dog years? 70 years is a very long time and I bet you are something of an expert. Your dogs make a good-looking team, by the way.

This is my dog Ted. I found him as a bruised and scraped up castoff by the side of the road when he was about 7 weeks old. As crazy-looking as he was, he grew into a handsome adult dog. Now he just acts crazy. Hope you like him.

Glad that you finally got him posted. Nice looking dog.

I still haven't got the adult photo posted, and I do appreciate your interest in helping. These were his puppy photos.

Wow I'm not used to all this feedback, probably because I've never posted photos before. (Actually my first was a photo of NM in the 50 states challenge). Yes we were both lucky in finding each other; I'm not sure who saved who. Or whom. It did seem rather fated: I'd lived in this area for 20 years and was certainly familiar with the roads, yet while driving to the mountains for a hike I missed the turnoff. When I made the u-turn to get going in the right direction, there sat this little guy by the side of the road. My friend got out of the car, slowly, to approach him. I heard a blood-curdling scream and thought the puppy had run away or worse, into traffic. But my friend returned to the car holding the puppy. She said she knelt down and said, "Come here, baby," and he screamed and threw himself into her arms!
So that's the story of Day #1 with Ted. I've had him 6 years and we now have lots of stories.

Thank you for sharing he sure is a special one, you know that you did not miss your turn off he was waiting for you, life is full of what we think are missed turns. Bless be, to the both of you

Isn't it true, about the "missed turns." Ted doesn't let me miss many turns now; he's always trying to steer me in the right direction. I don't mind. Someone has to. Bless you back.

Woof! woof!

Is that a Labradoodle? Please tell me those trees aren't burned, just leafless for winter.

what great shots of Ted..
:)

Yes, I was blessed. My other dog didn't feel so blessed, however. I'll get some photos up of her so that she doesn't feel neglected. Thanks for the compliment; I admire your photos of your "kids" as well.

Yeah, he's cute. Just don't say that to him or he'll grumble at ya.

Ted and Adrienne are both cool kids, and I thank you for responding to this (recycled) thread. I now understand why parents love showing off photos of their kids.
