hey my friend ,to really make this work is to get rid of the man made stuff ,a good way to do this is by tying a branch to the post or stick it in the ground, near a feeder ,this way you get rid of the hand of man and control the background as well. see ya.

Not early here in the center of Indiana. We have friends that feed them all year. Thay winter over and nest in their boxes every year.
