Blue Bird 2/17/13: Look what I found in my yard today. Been taking it easy, resting the toes. Went out for some fresh air. Saw the moon.:) went back in for the camera and saw this guy.

Wow! Now that is way cool! I have only seen one once around here in 25 years. I know that they are around but they are very skittish and like heavily wooded areas.

Thanks for posting these. Now I can go into photoshop and paint some of my sparrow pics to look like these.

Hi Tom. You can probable do that and make them look good. If it tried they would look like wood peckers.:) Oh wait, I don't even know where to start to do it. :)

The Blue Birds never come back here til March 20th...same day as the Barn Swallows and the hummers, but this year spring is sure to be early. Our horses are shedding their winter hair like crazy...by the hands full and things are starting to bloom!

Not even feeling like spring here Jo. We are holding right around 20-30 degrees. Got 8" of snow last night. And tomorrow we are going to 40 Degrees, when Tues. we are going back down to 23. But I am still putting up the houses.:):)
