Take one photo of each of the first 36 bucket list destinations.
Puppies, lots of puppies. I think it's important "in the spirit of" Steve McCurry's endeavor, after finally deciding that he was going to concentrate on portraits, he didn't really know ahead of time what he was going to shoot, but made the best of what was presented to him.
I love the idea that he was shooting digital "test shots" before committing any of those last 36 frames. Reminds me of the old Polaroid back for test shots on my Bronny S2.
Can't answer, just the thought of that scenario fills me with sadness

I'd want an orchid, a tulip, an iris and then the widest variety of scenes that I could experience.
The inside of my lens cap.
I wouldn't do what i truly did - take 100 speed film (only) on an alaska cruise with either overcast days or harsh light angles; then pay $$$$ to have images digitalized. That's when I switched to digital.
I'd probably shoot a roll of my grandaughter in the yard. One would be bound to turn out.

Anything, as long as they were better than my previous 36 frames.
Save them. It would depend on how many I shot before. If they where the last 36 frames and Never took any then I'd take what ever came to me as I do now. If taken from the point of where I am now? Family and friends, A couple nice sunsets, A moon shot. A long exposure of the sky at night. Kids Sports One click with a long lens. A fall scene. The Best spring day of the year. Some Fireworks. My favorite car. Sky with amazing clouds it's like you can see faces in them.
The question is the last 36 frames ever. Or the last 36 of the day, week, year. life.\
It would be better to say. After all the Photographs you've taken choose just 36..

I already have more than 36 of those!!!
Each is in perfect focus and exposure too!
I would shoot myself as I would be unable to bear the thought of not taking any more photos
