The primary reason that you should always have your camera with you, is simply that there are endless photo oportunities everywhere there is imagination and an eye for it. Your photos prove the point quite nicely.

Excellent! Deeper meanings usually elude me (I'm not very bright), but I did manage to 'get' the night and day. Nice work!

Me neither until it was explained to me, haha Theresa has an artistic eye and a similarly active imagination. It takes someone like that to even talk to me!

Would you believe, not long after buying these shoes (and as completely FRIVOLOUS as they are to me, I just had to have them even if I never wore them... chrome heels just fascinated me as a concept lol)... I actually saw a CHURCH LADY in WalMart wearing them with her Sunday best!?

I'd never dream of such a thing... but wow.
______________

Photographically-speaking: I was proud of the technical results achieved with limited "proper equipment or setup".

I believe that most anything can be improvised and often, life being what it is for me, that's exactly what I have to do. Make the most of what you have... kind of thing.

Also: those shoes represent "night-life" and the perfume bottle "daytime chic"... so the composition is a study in balance on a deeper level than merely what's visible to the eye.

The color black also symbolizes the night... cobalt blue or color in general... daytime.

It works for me on so many levels, but surprises me to know that it doesn't for so many others!

Photography is a delicious exercise in psychology and sociology sometimes! :)

I just have to agree with your last statement. That gorgeous photo can be interpreted in so many ways and still enjoy the beauty of the photo.

Those shoes in most juristictions? would be classed as weapons , not shoes. I don't need a reminder not to get Theresa mad.

I do have just one question. The WSJ had an article that indicated the latest exercise trend was utilizing high heeled shoes. Who would do that in these?

Nice pic however, you are too close to the background wall. You should not be able to see the sharp shadows that are evident in your shots, if this was to be a good product shot. Take a look through any magazine or online advert and you will not see a single shot with a shadow showing right behind it on the background. Just move it a foot further forward, away from the back wall.

Or use a sweep, which is just a background that is just a curved piece of paper or material so that you have no distinction between table and back drop.

A sweep is used when you don't want any discernible edge between back and floor to be seen. If you place your object to close to the back of the sweep you will still get background shadows if you have used a harsher light. I was speaking only of the background shadows, not about anything to do with seeing the edge between the background and the floor. Therefore even the suggestion of a sweep, as good as that was, would not overcome the shadow problem, only moving a distance away from the background would overcome such a noticeable shadow.
