Hi Theresa,
It is a superb example of the art of product / art photography and I am so proud of you. This is the quality of photographs you need to bring to the studio and we will have clients beating on the door. You achieved this result with what can only be described as very basic, jut wait till the studio is finished and fully equipped. The follow up one is pure magic as well. Try another shot using the red shoes as well. That will give us some great folio shots.
Love it.

I thought this was the best of the series so didn't add the rest, but since you've mentioned it, I guess I have to now *blush*
And I didn't think of the red shoes! YOU did the red shoe & hat shot that should be used as a display... I wouldn't dream of trying to top that. I couldn't! :)
No "tip off from Iain today but am very impressed with these photographs. I have no idea why technically that they are so appealing but just know that they impressed me very much.

:) And the fact that you can't give a technical reason why you like these, or are impressed with them, is a high compliment imo, so thank you, Jim.

#1 just says class, elegance,AND sassy to me!!
Sassy is an appropriate word - says a lot about the photog!
Imaginative, too.
:)
Thanks rlaugh and bebo (and bebo: I LOVE that quote following your posts!)!

Would you believe, not long after buying these shoes (and as completely FRIVOLOUS as they are to me, I just had to have them even if I never wore them... chrome heels just fascinated me as a concept lol)... I actually saw a CHURCH LADY in WalMart wearing them with her Sunday best!?
I'd never dream of such a thing... but wow.
______________
Photographically-speaking: I was proud of the technical results achieved with limited "proper equipment or setup".
I believe that most anything can be improvised and often, life being what it is for me, that's exactly what I have to do. Make the most of what you have... kind of thing.
Also: those shoes represent "night-life" and the perfume bottle "daytime chic"... so the composition is a study in balance on a deeper level than merely what's visible to the eye.
The color black also symbolizes the night... cobalt blue or color in general... daytime.
It works for me on so many levels, but surprises me to know that it doesn't for so many others!
Photography is a delicious exercise in psychology and sociology sometimes! :)
