I feel very good after I get lucky enough to photograph a bird in flight or just a bird I haven't seen yet. I hope you continue to find nice things to photograph. Have fun.

I love your photos. and I too have problems with both knees dont let it stop you. People have found me flat on the pier hanging over the edge and thought i was nuts. who cares what they think find anyway you can get the shot. It will make you happy in the long run.

if you are shooting in manual mode (to learn) then why are you shooting in auto-focus???

It just depends. Sometimes my vision is not the best, and what I think is in focus is not...even with the viewfinder set to my vision.

I understand and thanks for the candor. That said none of the images you posted would require auto-focus and I think - really think - if you are serious about going "pro" that the discipline of learning how to obtain critical focus - manually - cannot help but serve you well.
