Thanks. Now that they are paying for them they are fine with new jeans without holes. I know the feeling , my aunt who is going to be 90 made a comment to me a few years ago that if I needed some money to buy the kids some new jeans she would help!!! I think I saw the same look on her face when I told her they buy them that way.

poor girl needs some new jeans... Funny story... my nephew bought jeans with holes and while my mom whas staying with my sister last year during her chemo she was doing some laundry etc.. she finds these jeans... so she is preparing to repair them and patch them... my nephew runs in the sewing room and snatches them from my mom and tells her he paid for them like that... my poor mom was bewildered...

LOL :D  yeah funny how that works when they have to pay for them... I went to a private school and had to wear a uniform everyday... so worrying about fashion was the least of my worries....

I love capturing the moon through branches - I have some and they kind of look like a tunnel or cave or something weird - lol

yea sorta but the moon had a ring around it - it was just kinda weird - it is some where on my external hard drive - been trying to organize... can't decide how I want to do it though - lol - so far I have been moving things into subject folders but when I put them on the external I lost all the information on how the camera was set up... I didn't know that would happen

RR - that 2nd shot in b/w is awesome!
Dutchbug - Good winterscapes and I would love to see a roadrunner in person!
WeeBGB - I like these very much - you need to share your technique! The icy rim looks massive!
Thank you, mgstrawn! :O)
Yes, the rim is massive and covers a much larger area than what I shot.
I'm not sure what you mean by technique. Do you mean my camera and settings?

Camera settings and how you set up the two special effects shots.

I used a Canon Rebel T2i on all three shots. And the only "special effects" I did was enhance the contrast, definition and saturation. I don't know how to do anything "fancy".......yet! :O)
Icy Rim settings: 55-250mm lens, ISO 100, F8, 1/1250
Icicle settings: Same lens, ISO 100, F6.3, 1/125
Suspended Ice: Same lens, ISO 100, F8, 1/125
