Hey y'all. I had no idea what the challenge was going to be but I got lucky 'cause I took a short road trip. 250 miles round trip lol. I haven't done anything to these photos except open them with camera raw, so I'm sure there is a lot that can be done to enhance them ... but I'm just too damn lazy to do it lol.

the whole way was this road

BMAC - Love that white building, The artwork is great great composition. Like them all

Annette - Love the photos especially the birds. I have yet to learn how to capture BIFs, everytime I snap birds flying they come out crappy. I was so mad last week because there was an eagle flying in circles around our house and I couldn't get a clear shot to save my life. That is the first eagle we have seen in this town ever. Glad to see you and hope everything goes smooth sailing for you considering your circumstances. Those pictures of your dad are excellent. He looks very happy.

Bushido - Excellent captures as always.

Page 14

JFrank - Super shots they are all great. You captured them perfectly.

Dansmith - Like them all but that last one is incredible. Love the dramatic skies. I think in the first one I would have liked to see more of the building but that is just my opinion, you are the artist. It is great either way.

Page 15

William - You are a maniac (in a good way) You are definately one of a kind in your work but you are a great artist. Everyday I look to see what other creations you come up with.

Page 16

Aaronphoto - Love the cityscapes, the pano is great. I need to brush up on my skills so i can do Panos too.

Bushido - Nicely done the detail is great even for the B&W

Page 17

Momma Pat A.K.A Maine Mom - Love victorians, our dream house design is based on the victorian floor plan with columns and a mix of gothic too. Did you consider creating and HDR effect with this? I think it will bring out a little more detail and color (Not saying it's bad, just for shadow sake). The AAA building is great too love the colors. The last one is fantastic!!

Page 18

Jim - Love your Vermont photo

Judy - Even from a car you are quick on the draw! that photo is cool . New Haven is gorgeous and is on my bucket list (and my wifes) love how you framed the last one.

SueJay - like these youngsters would say OMG Love you first shot, I hope that is on your wall. Your photos are amazing. I love them all.

Jim - Sweet pictures. They always take the fun out of everything huh. Love old town.

Cherokee - Love the river excellent capture.

Joe - Great shots. The capital dome is fantastic!! You make Chicago look so good! Love the roadkill cafe!

Mary - Great series! Love that Mural

Page 19

Sherrie (Photogrl) - Looks like an interesting drive. I like the scenery and that quaint little town looks great. I like the willow tree too. Looks like you had a great trip.

Welcome to the Weekend Challenge! Pat (a.k.a. known as Patography) and I are hosting together this weekend. Our subject is ~ CITYSCAPES! Wikipedia defines a cityscape "as the urban equivalent of a landscape. Townscape is roughly synonymous with cityscape, though it implies the same difference in urban size and density (and even modernity) implicit in the difference between the words city and town." You may find more information at the following link:

http://digital-photography-school.com/photographing-urban-landscapes

I had grandiose plans for today's challenge! My husband had offered to take me to the largest nearby city - Atlanta, GA. However, it has been constantly raining for the last few days so I decided to wait. My examples were taken today in a little town nearby that is not quite as picturesque as our little town.

So show us your surrounding Cityscapes. And if that is not possible, show us some of your best cityscape archives. Think outside the box; my brain was not capable of that today! I am excited to see what you post because I have already seen some fabulous photos of this subject from many of you over the last year! Remember, photos of funny or crazy signs is our wildcard.

****ATTENTION**** Annette mentioned that some of you were having trouble finding our new challenges. When you are on the homepage, regardless of whether you've signed in or not, click on 'Active Topics.' Our challenge is usually found on the first page of the 'Active Topics.' If not, it is usually within the first five pages.

Keep Annette in your thoughts and prayers ~

Thanks...I can't wait to take more cityscapes when I go on Alaskan cruise this summer. I go to Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Victoria BC and Seattle. I should take more pics of St. Louis. I'm a 45 minute train-ride away!
