Welcome to the Weekend Challenge! Pat (a.k.a. known as Patography) and I are hosting together this weekend. Our subject is ~ CITYSCAPES! Wikipedia defines a cityscape "as the urban equivalent of a landscape. Townscape is roughly synonymous with cityscape, though it implies the same difference in urban size and density (and even modernity) implicit in the difference between the words city and town." You may find more information at the following link:

I had grandiose plans for today's challenge! My husband had offered to take me to the largest nearby city - Atlanta, GA. However, it has been constantly raining for the last few days so I decided to wait. My examples were taken today in a little town nearby that is not quite as picturesque as our little town.

So show us your surrounding Cityscapes. And if that is not possible, show us some of your best cityscape archives. Think outside the box; my brain was not capable of that today! I am excited to see what you post because I have already seen some fabulous photos of this subject from many of you over the last year! Remember, photos of funny or crazy signs is our wildcard.

****ATTENTION**** Annette mentioned that some of you were having trouble finding our new challenges. When you are on the homepage, regardless of whether you've signed in or not, click on 'Active Topics.' Our challenge is usually found on the first page of the 'Active Topics.' If not, it is usually within the first five pages.

Keep Annette in your thoughts and prayers ~

The first 4 photos were taken in Old Town - Conyers, GA. Like my city, Covington, GA, many of the original buildings of the town have been well preserved and are in use today.

Good to see you to MG. Missed you guys. I try to pop in as often as I can but my OTHER family needs me right now, when duty calls I answer it. We are just counting days until little Lila Luciana is here. Then I will flex my camera muscles.

Here are my first contributions for this round.

p1 Like the old tavern and the train shot. Lit library on a rainy night is beautiful. Don't think it would have same impact without the rain.
