It's hard to imagine driving one of these around town or up to the supermarket for a gallon of milk. And they are designed and engineered to be driven at very high speeds. Other than a banked track, where can anyone do that?

Just pulling into my driveway would hang it up. Then, my wife would be depended on to help me get up after I fell out of the car. Plop in, fall out. How long can I assume she would? But…all things said, still an angular beauty (mostly).

This whole genre of cars are not rally intended for street use...best enjoyed on the track.

It's a little hard to muster up enthusiasm for something like this, isn't it , John.

I love your attitude and reasoning. Actually, I never really found this design to be pretty...wild and exciting, but not pretty. The next model Lamborghini produced, the Diablo, was actually a beautiful car.

One ugly car nicely shot Tom. I guess I'm a classic kind of guy, I have never signed on to the Supercar craze. Give me a Ferrari Super America any day.

Great shots, Tom.

Here is a subsequent year that looks more refined.
Taken at the Los Angeles Auto Show in January of 2002 with a 2mp Sony Cybershot.

I hear you, Jack. My personal proclivity is also toward the older stuff.

See you.

Thank you.

That's a Lamborghini Diablo. It's an entirely different car from the older Countach...much more attractive, an improved car in every respect.
