This is a 1987 Countach S. When Lamborghini introduced the Countach in the mid '80's, it was heralded by the automotive world as being a "supercar ". It turned out to be the first of a class of cars that came to be known, collectively, as Supercars. . Other manufacturers jumped into the market with their interpretation of this new breed.
More posters of the Countach were hanging on the walls of car-crazy teens than you can imagine. Heck, I had one mounted on a wall in my office. The car certainly had the looks. But the looks could be deceiving. According to a friend of mine who bought one, it was a very uncomfortable car to drive for any length of time...the seats were killer bad. The vision out of the car was terrible. The overall performance of the car fell somewhat short of expectations. But it sure set fire to that emerging class of cars.

Fantastic set of images!! Tom
I always lusted after the Diablo!!
Never even sat in one but it looks very uncomfortable and can see that vision would be very restricted. A fine image though Tom.

Nice car
I'm surprised it even has a reverse gear
Excellent set, I'd like to have one but if I did I'd have to get help to get out.

Hi, Frank.
I'm also a fan of the Diablo. It made up for some of the sins of the Countach.

Thanks, Don.
It's a good thing you never set in one, you might still be in it trying to get out.
See you.

You had me laughing out loud with that one. The guy I knew that bought one told me that, when parking, he did everything he could to avoid having to back up when leaving.
Take care,
Beautiful car, beautifully photographed, Tom.
