I'm ready to make the jump to a mirrorless DSLR. Looking for suggestions

Welcome to the internet. Guess you didn't understand?
Thanks again for your support. I can explain things to you but I can't understand them for you. Now go play with your friends.

Your recourse is not publicly complaining. Nor, jousting with people who know better than you. Rather, you need to (a) report the issue to the only party with the power to act - ADMIN. And (b) consider where and why you post any of your work to anywhere on the internet, along with considering the pixel resolution used and whether the file is made available for taking. These are all things you can do, rather than the fool's errand of policing other's actions on the internet. One would think an adult doesn't need these basics spelled out in writing ....

Awww, please don't be angry with me. Have I hurt your feelings? Why have you assumed that I haven't reported the issue to Admin? I know that you are significantly more mature and intelligent than I am. When did you become a member of MENSA?

No hurt to my feelings. In fact, satisfaction of another interested party in joining the CHG-Canon Fan Boyz Club. Issues in the supply line means we don't have any extra-small hats to send, but we'll reach out when the next delivery gets through customs.

Thanks again for thinking of me but you did not answer my question. I now grant you permission to have the last word.

Your life must really suck for you to be so miserable.

Oh, now it's a SKETCH. I know you consider yourself as an Artist. Most of what I've seen you post is (I'll put it gently) not to my liking. You should also note that that image was posted with the following text..."Nothing special, just a snapshot of something I haven't seen in many, many years".
DO NOT COPY OR EDIT MY IMAGES!!
Id abandon the craft altogether before Id ever cater to certain "tastes". Youre not required to enjoy my stuff. No hey problemo. Please keep on keepin on. Its always useful feedback. You said its some old snapshot. I saw it has rather more potential than you give it credit for, and illustrated that. Too bad you cant even see it.

When you have Superfly feeling sorry for you, it might be time to reconsider your stance.

Aaaahhh ... crocodilian tears, by the quart !
I don’t know if anyone makes a mirrorless DSLR. 😉
On the lens side, I shoot Canon EOS R. I have purchased only 1 lens and use all if my lenses that I used with my DSLR. Canon, IMO, over engineened the adapter. Some of my lenses perform better on Canon EOS R. I would test your current lenses on the new camera before thinking about replacing them. I am a hobbyists now and was a bit more serious about it pre-Covid. If you aren't a professional, you need to fight through the gas. I doubt new gear will make you a better photographer. Advances make with photo editing software( Adobe, Luminar Neo, Capture One or the Topaz products), after post processing, I doubt you can see the difference.

Reading other people's stories can give you inspiration and hope and the confidence you can afford a mirrorless camera.
I have been able to cut my GAS purchases to almost NIL from your postings. Not only has it saved me a ton of money, but it has made me learn my current gear better.
Thanks
Mike Gould

True, but that was pointed out 3 years and 13 pages ago.
