I do know they wear different gourds for different events. Short ones while working and longer and more fancy ones for dancing etc. the size of the gourd has nothing to do with a mans size..... The Tamari in Africa its a different story, they add weights to the end to stretch themselves. Longer , usually is longer

My uncle Bud, real name Arvil, served in the area in WWII. He was a weird guy, never amounted to much, mostly worked in south Texas fruit packing sheds, drank too much. I recall he referred to the locals as fuzzie wuzzies.
