Sorry your cat suffers too. They told me yesterday and today car might be ready but I don’t get a call. Seems like last time. Tried all day to think positive but finally took a nap. I’m not a positive thinker because so much negative has happened all my life. But I’m still here.

Mooch seems to be drinking and litter had wet spots. Food looked nibbled at. He has been in my lap not in a curled up ring on back of couch as before. So good sign.

Got in a stressful conversation with a friend who said I sounded depressed. I told her I’m not depressed I’m upset which is different. People always try to make me do what they think. it’s annoying. Usually I ignore it but I was so stressed I told her strongly I’m not Depressed. She likes to be bossy then apologize. I told her apology helps the apologizer feel better but doesn’t help the person getting the apology. Like if someone kicks you the body still hurts even if there’s an apology. She keeps on being bossy and apologizing. I let it go and we chatted today. I’m usually not like this. I sure am stressed.

I think frogging it is best too. I was pleasantly surprised when I found some pattern books in a box I thought has receipts. So might find a pattern there I like I did call the tax man and his secretary was very nice she said they accepted my verbal permission to electronically send my taxes on time. I can mail her the signed forms when I get ,my car and can go to the post office. I want to be sure they get it so they have to sign for them. And I can mail her the check for his payment. Nice that she did this for me. I was so concerned I couldn’t sleep,til 5 am that night.
I thought mooch might have been sleeping or changed his mind about dieing alone. I heard cats go off to die alone so I was worried. My son thinks mooch might have hearing issues but I think he just ignores us. Just kidding.

Feel a lot of love in your message thank you very much. I may have told you at a resort up here they have a game where metal moles pop up and you have to hit as many as you can as they randomly pop up. I say my life is like that game I just keep swinging as these issues pop up. I do get tired. The mechanic’s phone person says they think the hose broke and it lost coolant so the heater isn’t working and that is also why the car over heated. I asked them to find out why the wipers stopped mid window and to balance the new tires. Also need the rubber tubing that holds wires in the door area to be attached. The other place left the tube showing a half inch of wires.
I’m glad you don’t think I’m depressed. And I agree that a man wouldn’t get treated this way. I guess they have enough business they don’t have to be nice to their lady customers. On that subject. When we went to a pub for lunch the food was excellent and reasonably priced. I think that’s because it’s attached to a golf park and they get men customers a lot. Had the best burger I’ve ever had. Decent price too.
I like reading about what you are doing. You are a perky lady too.

Good morning all from a sunny but cool Norfolk, only 4C in the wind. Had a good visit yesterday, only just an hour but fun anyway and lots of chat got in. Only another fortnight and he will be back for a lot of the day (until golf calls). Nothing planned for the day again apart from dinner and knitting, next excursion out is the 25th to see the gastroenterologist and get the results of my MRI scan. Enjoy your day, or some of it, if you can. xx

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:57 am EDT and 0'C (32'F) going up to 10'C (50'F) with rain and thunderstorms today.
There was a beautiful sunrise this morning turning all the clouds gold and orange before the clouds hid the sun.
The rich and businesses are complaining about the latest federal budget. The capital gains tax rose from 50% to 66.66%. So any business or rich person sells non-primary residence or stocks and makes more than $250K will have to pay 2/3 of the profit to the federal government. The rich people are saying they will go to the US where the capital gains tax is lower and I'm ok with that. Since the pandemic, we have had too many economic immigrants, who come here to make a buck, duck all the taxes and leave when they are finished. Good bye. Businesses are saying this will stop investment in R&D. Hmm, just don't sell the R&D, use it instead and you should be fine. This will also affect people selling the hugely expensive houses in Toronto to move to the surrounding areas. (They can stay in Toronto )
People were arrested in the latest protests about the Israel/Palestine war. These protesters blocked the VIA rail tracks to "stop shipments of weapons" to the middle East. These people were obviously not from Canada. VIA rail only carries PEOPLE not freight! (They needed to go over a couple of blocks to block the freight train lines.
The federal government and provincial government have made a deal to allow Highway 413 to go through the Holland Marsh, Ontario's prime growing area. This highway only benefits the people in the rich area north of Toronto as it goes from their area to the nearest north/south highway. Multiple groups had asked that the highway be rerouted south around the marsh but the provincial government wanted the highway to be "straight".
Work was slow yesterday. Management is being careful so they are not the next person to be walked out the door.
I worked a bit on my fair isle socks, but I'm off on the pattern so the 2nd sock is not going to match. The pattern looks correct, it is just not what is written in the pdf.

That other place really slapped your car back together. I hope this mechanic can get it all back together easily.
When there was a garage in Port Hope that had only female mechanics, it was so busy, it ended up moving to a larger town (that's what happens to anything good in this town)
Golf course restaurants always have really good food, but it is also usually expensive. I guess they figure if you can spend money on golfing, you can pay a little more at the restaurant.
I'm glad your's didn't think that way.

Gas/petrol prices are going up 14cents per litre as part of the budget. They may have already gone up. (That's why everyone was lined up at the gas station last night even though the price was already high). I'm going to check at lunch.

That's good. Mum doesn't like her new doctor, but doesn't have much choice unless she wants to try another doctor's office. The ones here in Port Hope all have caseloads over 3000. How does one keep track of that many patients, they don't really.
