Took this photo in my backyard. I was trying for shots of a bird surrounded by blossoms of my crab apple tree. I did get this and several like it of an old world tree sparrow feeding on the blossoms. The bird was in fairly deep shadows which I used PhotoShop to lighten. Also used Topaz to reduce noise and sharpen lightly.

It appears that the focus is better on some leaves and the branch than it is on the bird's head and beak. I rarely use a sharpening tool, so don't know how far you can go before it looks fake, but maybe worth a try?
Otherwise, I like your depth of field and soft colors (subjective opinion) and the angle of the main branch. There are a few bright leaves that could be selectively darkened (not too much!), but I think you achieved your goal very nicely overall, and handled the challenging lighting well.
I saw your comment about not knowing of the Analysis Forum. I mentioned a couple of times in the other thread that Admin has fairly strict guidelines about this section, so I'll be following to see if your topic is moved. The guidelines are pinned on the first page. Here they are:

Thank you for your comments. I should have mentioned that it was very windy which did not help with focusing.
