Ok to clarify, I added the phrase "in your original post" to my comment.

Normally I do but this was meant to suggest to OP how to get answers more quickly.

I have been using ON1 for years. The current version is by far the best.
And yet you didn't answer his question about completing the edit.

47, after I click on the check mark in the blue circle, it appears the I've completed the process. However, when I go back and for example select the healing brush and get near the previous edit it shows the green and red small boxes and the dotted outline of the that edit, indicating that the previous selection is still active, and that I can not perform another edit near or close to the previous edit.

I've found that as long as your origin spot isn't within the previously editted area that I can cross into it. However, I cannot initiate a new edit within the previously editted boundary. What I do if after the edit I see some that needs to be changed is either "cntrl-z" to delete the last edit or create an edit outside the boundary then move the "red" backgrounded tag into the previous editted area.

Delete my original edit? Um. Not was I was looking for. Is it possible that the original edit created a tiny layer mask? Then I would understand not being able to edit over it. If so, again how do you finalize an edit in a layer mask? Help.

I believe all you have to do is export the picture to wherever you save your photos. The edits will be saved to a side car file.

I think it is a “layer mask.” Have you posed the question to ON1 support? They are usually responsive to most questions. There’s also a public forum.

Once again, why should this require such a long cut process to complete. Come on ON1 photo raw, you've created a great product, can't you work out a "DONE" button to fast track what appears to be a easy fix.
Zayed, thank you, I will try your suggestion.

47, I'm guessing there must 10's if not (maybe) 100's of On1 photo raw users here. Am I the only user that has run across this problem? Hard to believe.

If you dont get answers here you might want to consider reposting the question in the UHH Post Processing Category.

Okay, when I complete an edit with i.e. stamp or copy tool, I can't figure out how to deselect or complete the process. If I select another tool, the original tool appears to still be active.

are you using 2024? you have to hit the button at the bottom to apply all the edits.

Been using On1 since 2016 even though I teach Lightroom Classic and Photoshop at the college level. About 5% of my image I do some editing in Photoshop or Camera Raw then back to On1 to add effects
