I also have a problem with ear wax and I have hearing aids in both ears.
I haven't found a product yet that works at removing the wax.

I spent an unpleasant hour at the doctor's today, while he and a nurse tried to get the wax out of my ear. Ordinarily, it's quick and simple. Not today. I was right at my pain limit, when he said the last bit was too far in for him to keep working at.

I think this is going to be a good investment.

Hard to understand how a doctor couldn’t completely remove your earwax? I’ve had it done two times over the years and it’s just a matter of irrigating the ear canal.

It can get really packed in, especially if you’ve been using q-tips wrong, and there can be danger of puncturing an eardrum digging it out. At that point it’s basically using peroxide, (either hydrogen or carbamide), and flushing. It could take multiple flushes over a couple of days.

Reminds me of the time they could get everything out until they realized there was a piece from my hearing aid lodged in there.

Well, they keep making them smaller.

Thanks for the info. A doctor told me years ago not to try to stick anything smaller than your elbow into your ear!

You have to remove the hearing aids first

I tried that. Movie magic! It doesn't work in real life.

My device arrives today!

I just use warm water and a syringe I use to use to deliver doses of antibiotic to my horses. Works great and cheap.

Jerry, I am sorry you experienced the pain and inconvenience of wax build up. My mother in law would use a candle type contraption to remove her ear wax. Luck she didn’t burn her house down😆.

Yes, I've heard about the candle technique, but I'm afraid of putting a flame into ear. 😋

It also doesn’t work. The concept is the flame using up oxygen and creating negative pressure to suck the wax out. It really doesn’t create enough negative pressure to do anything.

Yeah, last month when I got my new hearing aids the doctor cleaned out the wax just fine with miniature instruments and a spray.
