Someone here may ask? Why single lens reflex? Is there a double or triple lens? Yes Yashica has a double lens and so are cinematography camera systems.

The term single lens reflex is to distinguish from twin lens reflex which as a viewing lens and a taking lens not so much from a camera with a 3 lens turret.

Nice "attempt" at a humorous insult but you'll have to tell me, as I've been married for 53 years...to the same woman!

In June, it'll be 57 years for my wife and I. Note that we started young, well, at least I did, as my wife's older than me We started dating 60 years ago this past October, when she was a Senior in high school and I was only a Junior.

She's currently working with some of her classmates, planning their 60th high school reunion for this coming July, back in Michigan. She had 35 students in her class (there were only 30 in mine) and so far it looks like about half are no longer with us. The last time a group of them got together was in 2019, for their 55th. She organized that one on her cell phone while we were driving to Michigan, and it turned out OK, but she's starting earlier this time around. They're inviting people from the other classes from around that same era so perhaps some of my classmates will be there (but we've also lost a bunch recently).

Awww shucks! You're still trying to hurt my feelings but again it was pretty weak. Haven't I told you before that you shouldn't get into a battle of wits when you're only half-armed?

You most likely did your Ex a favor.

You can't say I didn't warn you (read my signature line). I sincerely hope you get well.

As I remember the last time you said that you quickly wilted at my brutal reply. Your exact words: “I really can't complete with your superior intellect...you are so much better at insults that I.”. Please don’t tempt me to do it again.

Someone is unable to understand sarcasm...

Shows the 'superior level of intelligence', doesn't it?

*Shaking head in disbelief*

I’ve noticed some of the poking and prodding going on here. Researchers claim that subtle humor is a difficult concept to grasp, as is sarcastic humor. And then you have some otherwise intelligent people where humor rolls off them like water off a duck’s back. They just don’t get it. Or maybe they are just unable to feel humor.

Maybe this whole site should be renamed "How To Take The Joy Out Of Photography"

...and you took that literally? You weren't bright enough to detect a tone of sarcasm?

Please stop. I'm really frightened now.

In June, it'll be 57 years for my wife and I. Not... (show quote)

You said it! Although I question the..."otherwise intelligent".

I didn’t see something that weak as sarcasm. Another thing you’re not very good at.

Sure, that's why you didn't pick up on it and...(weak?) stop using my lines.

Let's start another thread on jpeg versus RAW, just for fun. Always good for insults. When we're done with that, how about Sony versus everyone else? Nikon versus Canon. Don't forget purple streaking with Foveon sensors. That was the best for insults. I look forward to them all. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy myself trying to figure out Jerry's problems with everything he touches.

Let's ask CHG_CANON if he finally realized that he needs a Nikon DSLR. We can get miles of giggles out of that.
