I'm happy at 5'9", which is what I have shrunk to from 5'10". I would hate to be over 6'

My niece hit 6' during her teens. My brother and SIL had her in skating and ballet to try to make her less awkward about her height. It never really worked. The one thing that did work was finding her now husband, who was a couple of inches taller than her. It changed her posture completely.

At my full height, when I was younger, I was always proud of my height; I was a quarter inch of 6ft; & taller than all of the other girls, and some of the boys! I am not sure what my height is now, but sometimes I seem to be the same height as DD4; and I get a bit sad, as she is only about 5'8", which means that I am shrinking .... and I don't want too, even though it is unavoidable! 🤔😣😖 xoxoxo

Good morning all from a sunny Norfolk. Well my day of peace went completely up the creek yesterday. Was feeling progressively rougher throughout the day so by teatime rang 111 (our out of hours advise service), after millions of questions was then rung back by a clinician who asked all the same questions and was told I should go to A&E and they were arranging an ambulance. Three hours later it turned up so at 10 last night was in A&E. Lots more questions, bloods taken and a CT scan later couldn't find anything definitive so was sent home and I will be referred to GP. Had to get a taxi home, £40 but the driver was great and we had a nice chat on the way home. So 4 a.m. this morning I crawled into my bed, knackered. Anyway I live another day although today could be quite a sleepy day, DH will probably be home about dinner time although not heard from him yet this morning. Hope you all have a good day, I think mine will pass in a haze. xx

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:10 am EDT and -17'C (19'F) going up to 3'C (37'F) with wet snow. Oh joy. I'll be in Whitby. I'll keep an eye on the weather and if it gets bad, I'll hurry home. I have a feeling that my teammates that live in Peterborough won't be coming in today.
We ended up going back to the farm to get some more bird seed. The summer birds had gone through all the little mixed seed. We still have 2 bags of the sunflower seeds for the larger birds. Then did chores for the rest of the weekend.
I did finish my "Tiger" socks (They don't look like tiger stripes, maybe leopard spots on a gradient background) but they are too tight on my lower leg so I may need to take the tops out and redo them with more increases. This is why I usually do shorty socks.

I'm sorry that you ended up at hospital and still don't have any answers. You are a medical mystery and that is not a good thing.
Sleep as long as you can.

I think at 5'8'' you are still above average height for women.
You can't compete with your children. That is a losing game.

Inside I know the doctors are right. I just have not accepted it as fact yet. I know I have so much to be thankful for concerning the healing of my arm. First glad it was my right arm, glad I can use my hand almost normally, glad I have strength in that arm, and extremely glad I did not lose the arm entirely. When I think that way I realize I should not feel bad about the few things I cannot do.

I wish I could send you my Bond knitting machine. You only need one working arm for it. And you only need to go side to side.
You have already done more than the doctor's thought you would be able to do, so don't give up hope entirely, just modify your expectations to extend your schedule. I know I shouldn't really say anything as I have never broken anything that badly. I can only wish you the best.

Perhaps Daylight Savings should be cancelled, if the research is correct; & those who want to begin their days an hour earlier, can just set their alarms an hour earlier! As a shift worker, I really did not like daylight savings, I suppose it was great for the day workers ( or those who only worked a particular timeframe, and not a range of shifts within a week; it really isn't good for shiftworkers! 🤐🤔😖xoxoxo

I don't see any reason to continue Daylight Savings time. They say it was done for the farmers, but the province with the most farmers has never done Daylight Savings time and they do alright.
I heard it was factory owners who pushed for it so they didn';t have to light their factories for as long a time.

I haven't even started to catch up but my alarm has gone off. Time to pack the car.
Everyone have a good day and stay safe and well, or get better soon.
