Almost in the same class as a 58 Chevy. Nice photo as usual.

What’s under the wheels? Kim, did you plant the car picture into this scene? There should be tickets under the wipers….. 😎

Great shot of one of Ford's best designed cars from the 50s, Kim, hope someone will restore it.

I absolutely love the capture of the rusty Ford. However, on first impression, the fountain makes it resemble an AWACS Ford! Maybe the new stealth armaments are coming out with a different type of camouflage?

That car could really benefit by consulting a "vehicular oncologist."

Yes, LOL! I almost didn't post this one because I didn't like the positioning of the fountain sticking out of the top. However, I did like the color co-ordination.

Some of us Navy CT's flew on them (AWACs) out of Keflavik (I think), but I was never stationed there.

I don't think so. That grill was standard for 1958. The above was the side trim for a standard Fairlane, the base model.

The Fairlane 500 had different side trim. See below.

This one is a Fairlane 500 Skyliner.

Miles and miles of wire and many solenoids and switches went into the operation of that stow-away hardtop. From my memory it was fraught with problems for most of its life and had a nickname in my area as the "Flip-top Box."

Kim's right on, in that it's not a Canadian Ford. That side trim was pretty rare.

While they might not have been as prevalent as the Custom and Custom 300, I remember seeing lots of these Fairlanes around town in the 50s. They probably weren't as popular simply because that design was so ugly...
