Some one would try to break a window to get off the plane, maybe at altitude.

If you brought that onto plane, I would suggest testing it during the flight to make sure it can actually break a window. You want to know about that before the plane crashes.

I was on a flight once when 1 pane of the pilot's window shattered. The windows are multi layered so it did not depressurize the cabin. But we to make an emergency landing. They flew in a plane from a different city and within 1 hour we were on our way. We got all sorts of free snacks while we were waiting. Some people had to get a a plane right away and they helped make that connection. I had the time to wait and still make my connection.
Sir Isaac Newton is alive and well and appears at unexpected times.
Update - The plane had a momentary power failure. Supposedly, all the screens in the cockpit went blank for a couple of seconds. We'll have to wait a while for the details. This is Boeing's "dream" of a plane, so I hope this isn't going to be a problem child now.
As for the 737 Max, Boeing says it has no paperwork about the replacement of the door plug. Whoops!

I have one with a flashlight and a seat belt cutter and a window breaker on it.
I keep it in the glove compartment.

Mine's in the center console, no flashlight, though. I don't plan to crash at night.
