Well I had my Merchants exhibit at City Hall in Brooksville florida . Now the curator wants me to do another photo show . Does anyone have a suggestion for a subject? A few local people have suggested People and their Pets. Or some people said mailboxes. the still others said portraits of older folks who have been together for a very long time. any suggestions from photographers here>?

People at work: Ask boss permission and return often: auto repair, bakery, farming, firefighters training and maintaining equipment.

As suggested by JimBart, Hands would be a great subject. Especially if you can encompass the hands of newborns, children, the aged, as well as laborers with callouses, etc. I had an acquaintance that did an entire hand made book on his series of hands.

If you are going to take pictures of the homeless make sure you have their consent. Well they are on the street and thus I think the law allows you to take their pictures without their consent but I wouldn't do that.

That's an extremely sensitive area shame here ...I know I see them a lot.
I might not want to feel like I am exploiting the people just for a show
I will think about that
Thank you

Do a photo study of all the "doors" around Brooksville. Doors of restaurants, city hall, courthouse, library, homes, etc.

What is your passion? What do you love to photograph? In there is the answer to you question. The other questions you should answer is who is your audience and what are their interest? What made your first exibit a success?

If you can even consider "Cats and Windows" as a valid suggestion then I would second the motion, and even say you should absolutely run with it. In the marketplace of nonideas it should be a runaway best seller.

I was NOT joking, not in the slightest. Look at what I found online in mere nanoseconds (see below). Its a mine as deep as the earths crust. Plus BONUS !!! You get the dual subgenres as seen inside looking out and outside looking in.

Cats are the clichés that keep on giving. We know that cat photos are trite and hackneyed, but can't look away. They offer endless hours of silly entertainment and cuteness.

I watched a cat video once of kittens chasing a laser pointer. I had to quit after a few minutes, because I was about to choke from laughing so hard. Poor cats... They do better with mice. They can actually catch them.

If a Cats & Windows show actually turns up right next door ... yes theres a large gallery next door ... its not like I would make any effort to get outa the house during gallery hours just to see it.
