Thanks, Joe. Pretty sure #2 was taken with my phone and of coarse moss add so much. Look like the moss had been there for awhile.

Your 2 posts of P. 24 are very nice whether you do a lot of stumps or not.

P22- Very nice set of photos! Finding one to bring home seems ambitious! But it looks as if you used it well.
So did the stump get smaller or did Crater Lake?
The stump we brought home was pretty small.
From what our friends said, the Crater Lk. stump must have been pretty tall when they first started taking pictures of themselves in front of it.
Vaun it looks like your "Stumps" Challenge was a Hit, Great First Challenge!
Sharing the April Challenge Calendar now ready to fill with Hosts, sorry I'm so tardy with it again! I've been working quite a bit at two different DG stores.

Here's some follow-up from one of my previous "Stumps" posts (cutting down of trees in yard in 2012).
The old ivy covered stump may be as old as 100 years. This community is well-known for it's logging history starting in the late 1800s and going through the mid 1920s (as I recall). I have a feeling that this one stump may have been logged back that far. There were also stumps still remaining in the field adjacent to us until two years ago when they started building homes there. I've taken fairly recent pictures with the deer there but the stumps were covered with growth and unidentifiable.
2012 picture (a repeat). Notice the old stump with a little ivy on it.

When this cedar was taken down, it was hollow (not uncommon) so planted this shrub in it...

And this is one of the rounds that came from the hollow cedar.

This should be last picture. Another tree in back yard that we had to take down (top blew off 30 years ago). Clematis growing in front of now.

This tree started the whole process. We noticed this split (left middle, going from ground up about 15 feet). Had arborist come and look. Needed to take down

Thanks! I wasn't really sure how popular stumps would be, so I didn't know what to expect.
