What I took issue with was your statement …”That kind of legislation is supposed to start in the house”. Legislation can start in either chamber . But I misunderstood you wording .” That kind of legislation “

Ok. Still don't know why you blame the house when they passed a bill and the senate did not.

So you don’t take issue with my three points

Well, the first point is your asking where the 90% number comes from and it would be nice if we could trust our government to report but they don't report what they don't want you to see and when they do they often lie. But Denny if you pay attention you will see when interviewed by the media almost all asylum seekers say they are coming because of economic reasons.

Your second point, yes they are breaking the law Denny, they are not crossing at points of entry and as I said earlier the vast majority of claims are false.... I have no problem with immigration but this is out of control, we should be able to set realistic limits on immigration and insure that our mortal enemies are not using Biden's political ambitions to enter and eventually attack this country.

Your third point.... Of course we need more detention facilities and judges, just the money that is being spent on caring for those that Biden has already allowed in would probably pay for it but beyond that I would rather see money spent on our own border than on defending the Ukraine.

Citizens complain, rightfully so, about the negative impact of immigrants because of the financial burden. The financial burden would be outweighed if these people were allowed to work. That's one reason there are here... to work.
At less than 4% unemployment, and thriving economy... we need workers.

We need to deport criminal illegal aliens to lighten the load on big AND little cities.

Yeah so? After the last three years why should they accept anything short of controlling the border before anything else is discussed.

What skills do they bring? I suppose they are qualified for top government positions in a democratic administration... but what else can they do? Or are you like the racists at the view who openly lamented " who will clean our toilets?" and are suggesting menial jobs, such as that, but they need to be paid a living wage for San Francisco or New York City.

And the final elephant in the room, since when do liberals think that welfare/public assistance recipients should be required to work for benefits? Perish the very thought!!!! It's demeaning to ask fro someone to pay your their room and board! ROFL

You've got a mess on your hands of your own making- and you so very generously.... want other people to pay for it.

The law like it not specifically stated immigrants can cross any where and ask fir asylum. I continue to be dumbfounded why you do not recognize America law as written

Denny, as usual you aren't looking at the entire law.

Here is part two of the immigration law. Note that remain in Mexico is a legitimate legal strategy to do with asylum seekers. They are not required to either be allowed to enter the U.S. or not be deported as long as we have an agreement with a third nation, which we did prior to Biden undoing it. The law is not what is causing the current problem. The Biden administration is causing the current problem.

(2) Exceptions
(A) Safe third country

Paragraph (1) shall not apply to an alien if the Attorney General determines that the alien may be removed, pursuant to a bilateral or multilateral agreement, to a country (other than the country of the alien’s nationality or, in the case of an alien having no nationality, the country of the alien’s last habitual residence) in which the alien’s life or freedom would not be threatened on account of race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion, and where the alien would have access to a full and fair procedure for determining a claim to asylum or equivalent temporary protection, unless the Attorney General finds that it is in the public interest for the alien to receive asylum in the United States.

America has no third country agreements that would allow deportation and have not for a long time ( other than Canada )

Nice try though

We did with Trumps remain in Mexico policy. Biden undid it. Thats the whole point. The tools are alk there to solve the proem but Biden messed it up. It would be simple to fix and does not require any new laws. We just need to redo the agreement with Mexico.
