Citizens complain, rightfully so, about the negative impact of immigrants because of the financial burden. The financial burden would be outweighed if these people were allowed to work. That's one reason there are here... to work.
At less than 4% unemployment, and thriving economy... we need workers.

There you go assuming that they're legal societies when you have no idea if they're giving false information and lying. So 10 million come across claiming a silly we're supposed to give them jobs and let him be here legally right? What idiocy that always comes from you

Aren’t “legal” asylees already qualified to work in the US?

Let me ask you one question, discounting any argument regarding we need the workers and they are asylees (which in most cases is a joke). Is it prudent for any country to allow 8 million people into its country in a three year period having NO idea who or what they are? Strictly from a national security standpoint is this sound policy? People pass many opportunities all over the world to fly to South or Central America countries that don’t require visas to be shuttled into this country. In December we accepted 250,000 people (twice as many as the largest month ever accepted by the entire European Union). Plus according to the Congressional Budget Office we had 860,000 got aways in FY ‘23. So yes let’s let them get further ensconced into the country with no intention of ever removing them. By the way when that 8 million have families their children will not be doing the “jobs Americans won’t do”, they will be competing with other Americans for jobs. Have you ever seen a 2nd generation (or would you even expect to as we don’t have a cast system) “doing the jobs that Americans won’t do” so the demand for those workers will be perpetual which is why temporary guest worker programs like the Bracero programs were a effective way to accomplish such tasks. Additionally, we are on the cusp of Artificial Intelligence and robotics putting millions out of work. I haven’t heard how we are going to have the resources for proposed universal income for our citizens let alone the 30 million undocumented. Do you have any suggestions?

The so-called “legal” asylum refugees already have the authorization to work in the US. Just because they seek asylum does not mean they are here legally they’re just only presumed to be legal until otherwise proven. Just like a person who murder somebody it has the presumption of innocence, but that doesn’t mean he is innocent of the murder.

People who want to eat
People who want to have a life
People who want contribute

The “ current crop “ probably is the same.

And who’s paying for the room and board for the first six months if not for years?
