I predict the Supreme Court will overturn the Colorado decision to remove Trump from the 2024 ballot.

There it is. Just like I predicated. The SC unanimously sided with President Trump in his challenge to the state of Colorado's attempt to kick him off the 2024 primary ballot. Any ruling by any State SC is in violation of a SC ruling.

The SC concluded that "States have no power under the Constitution to enforce Section 3 with respect to federal offices, especially the Presidency."

You can now take your hand wringing and pearl clutching fervor and apply it to the next "made up" problem you have with Trump.

Our liberal Hogger friends heads must be exploding right now. Especially since the liberal justices voted for Trump.

SCOTUS ruled as I predicted in a different thread - no heads exploding over here. They did not vote for Trump---they voted against Colorado and followed how they interpreted the amendment. They contend that it's Congress's job to enforce that amendment.

Trump is speaking on TV right now, the longer he speaks the more votes he is losing.

Keep talking Donkey Don, what a bonehead. He is still making a fool of himself when

the newsroom finally cut him off.

He is such a doofus. He doesn't even know the meaning of the ruling.

Please re-read the posts above this. What you are suggesting is unrealistic and impossible. You are really suggesting that every Presidential candidate has to be "authorized or allowed" to run by each and every state? That's not political? Wow. What rock are living under? Can you imagine the red tape you would have to navigate to get on all 50 + DC primary ballots? Again wow.

What if one state does not allow it? Does that invalidate that person from running? How about two? Who gets to draw that line?

You should be working in DC. You'd make a great bureaucrat.

Primaries are purely state issue , in fact some states don’t even have them.

So because "some" states don't have primaries, the logistics don't exist.

Got it.

Exactly right. Their only other choice was to say it was purely a state issue but Colorado made it easy by using federal
Law as a basis the action.

So Democraps continually cry that Republicans are a "threat" to democracy. But, as soon as a ruling goes against what they want, they cry destroy the democracy!!

From our favorite unhinged libtard Keith Olbermann, we get:
Quote:
The Supreme Court has betrayed democracy. Its members including Jackson, Kagan and Sotomayor have proved themselves inept at reading comprehension. And collectively the "court" has shown itself to be corrupt and illegitimate.

It must be dissolved.

They have three choices.
1. Say trump is eligible
2. Say trump is not eligible
Or
3. Say it is a state decision since primaries have nothing to with federal government or federal law .

In my opinion the correct answer is number 3. For the court to decide. Numbers 2 or 3 would be taking a position on trumps guilt in the insurrection and that decision. And that is still in court .

Either 1 or 2 would be purely political .

Just an opinion

You say the primaries have nothing to do with federal government? When voting for the POTUS, which is a federal position, why would you say it has nothing to do with federal?

The Colorado Supreme Court decision finding that Trump is an insurrectionist who is therefore not qualified to be on the ballot, merely shows that neither you, I, nor a former President is above the law. It has nothing to do with anyone be scared of Trump in the upcoming election. Polls are meaningless this far in advance of the election; Biden is going to win by more than he did last time.

That said, of course SCOTUS is going to reverse the Colorado decision, since this is the most partisan, extreme right wing SCOTUS in our lifetime (e.g., the spouse of one of the SCOTUS justices is a die hard election denier).

But, for the purpose of discussion, suppose SCOTUS upholds the decision. Two questions would arise:

1. Would a SCOTUS decision disqualify Trump from being on the ballot in every state in the nation?

2. How long do you think it would it take for Trump to unleash his insurrection goons and thugs on SCOTUS?

You are so right, the most partisan, extreme right wing SCOTUS in our lifetime just voted 9-0, did 4 Justices just switch parties?

They voted justice and you know it. Whom ever thought a state could disqualify a presidential candidate needs to think again.
