Does anyone use this system? I purchased it a while ago (late 2022)and used it sometimes, but now I can't get it to work, and despite frequent attempts at reaching out to their support team, the answers are not clear. I do have a receipt, and the activation code, but it seems that perhaps the Dxo Collection and 'Dxo Photolab' are two different things, and I just can't figure it out? I used to experiment with it and didn't have any problem!?
Thanks!

DXO is an unreliable company. A few year ago I bought the Dxo raw development package from the company itself and could never get it to work. I contacted them, I gave them full access to my computer, but the problem was never solved and I lost my money. I recently downloaded the trial version of Nik collection 6 (same as version 5) and there were modules that did not open. In any case, if you can get the old version Google software of Nick collection, it is more than enough for any job, it is free and work like a charm.

I use both DXO-PL and the NIK Collection. I have no issues or problems using either. I am able to send images from DXO-PL to a specific NIK product like ColorEfex Pro directly from DXO-PL. I just click on NIK Collection (next to Export) in DXO and select the NIK program I want to use. Once I click on it It launches directly. Once I finish any NIK edits, the processed Tiff image shows up in DXO-PL.

I can also load a jpeg or tiff image into a NIK program as if it were a stand alone program.

Check out Robin Whalley's site to find some training videos: Lenscraft

My current versions are DXO-PL 7.4.0 and NIK Collection 6. I have been using NIK for over 10 years and DXO-PL for about four-five years. I use both programs on windows computers. I am a very satisfied customer with both programs !

1 Go to the DxO site and look at all the different products they offer , there are several
2 Try to remember what you actually bought, (it seems like you ought NIK Collection 6)
3 You said you downloaded a trial of Photolab, trials are just that, they expire or are feature limited.
4 If you DID purchase a license for Photo Lab, you should have a receipt and an activation code
5 If you are trying to use NIK with Lightroom you may need a more recent version of lightroom for NIK to work, you should be able to find compatibility requirements on the xO site under NIK
I hope this helps a bit

Actually, both DxO PhotoLab and DxO's version of the Nik Collection are very reliable and have tens of thousands of users.

I cannot say what issues the person you are replying to had and why they were not resolved, nor do we know which software he was using and which version, but I have been a DxO software beta tester for the last five years, and the majority of reported compatibility issues are not directly attributable to problems with DxO's software.

In your situation you seem confused about which DxO software and version you actually have a license for, and which software you actually tried to use as a plugin with Lightroom. DXO PhotoLab 7 Elite is a competitor of Lightroom and is not a Lightroom plugin. The Nik Collection 6 can be used as plugins with Lightroom classic. Until you can be a little clearer with a greater understanding of what you have it is difficult to help you.

If many people had compatibility problems with different DXO software then I assume that something is not right with the software and unless the user is super expert in computer science to solve system compatibility.

There is no tech support to call. Users must submit an online support request which can be found using the link below.

OK, didn't know that. I use several of DXO programs and have no trouble with any of them. All Adobe latest versions PS, LR and Camera RAW plus others, Capture One, operating on MAC 16.2 I believe.
