OK. Do you still have Nik Collection 5? Were you able to activate that and use it with Classic?

DXO Labs is a French photography software company, which markets a number of different software products. Here's the URL for DXO Labs: www.dxo.com. DXO Labs markets both the NIK Suite as well as well as DXO PhotoLab. They are two different products, sold separately, and the activation code of one won't work with the other. The current version of DXO PhotoLab is 7, by the way.

Dan, you're repeating several points I already addressed. Hoping for a reply to my most recent comment; then we can re-address what we've learned so far

Does anyone use this system? I purchased it a while ago (late 2022)and used it sometimes, but now I can't get it to work, and despite frequent attempts at reaching out to their support team, the answers are not clear. I do have a receipt, and the activation code, but it seems that perhaps the Dxo Collection and 'Dxo Photolab' are two different things, and I just can't figure it out? I used to experiment with it and didn't have any problem!?
Thanks!

I have both, and use Collection frequently - Photolab seldom. If using Windows, open your file directory, go to "Program Files," select "DxO," select "Nik X Perspective/Nik X Perspective (64 bit)," click on "NikXPerspective.exe," and the program should open. "X" is whatever version you have. For Mac (which I haven't used in 25 years) do whatever the equivalent actions are. In many cases you can set up Collections as a subset of your primary editing/processing software.

The lab rep's message said you can't use the Nik Collection code to activate Photo Lab.

The OP and I already discussed that.

OP already said he accesses Nik Collection 5 through Lightroom Classic, and that 6 doesn't work with Classic.

Am exiting this thread. Too much misunderstanding among the most recent commentators and lack of reading before typing. The OP is welcome to send me a pm if I can assist further.

OK, I will check again... I guess I'm confused about the difference. I understand the 'collection', but the trial I downloaded for PhotoLab apparently can't be used as a plug-in on LRC?

That is correct. The Nik collection is a set of eight modules intended for use as plugins in other software. PhotoLab is more of a Lightroom competitor and is not intended as a plug-in for Lightroom. The Nik collection can also be run as plugins to PhotoLab.

Linda,

It is still not clear to me whether cindo51's most current licenses for the Nik Collection and PhotoLab have both been activated and whether he is attempting to use PhotoLab as a plug-in.

I use DxO. I have contacted their support through their chat, and I have gotten the help I needed. I would not say that it was instantaneous, but they did resolve my problem for me. Keep in mind that if your question necessitates going to a software designer or engineer for resolution, those people are located in France.
