Thank you for those kind words Dustie. Even though it was a pretty good paying "job" for me, it never became "work". It's even more FUN now. Spankin' sure didn't work on me. My mother spanked me for it but my dad encouraged me to keep drawing and painting. My mother thought it was a waste of paper, so my dad just bought more paper...and paint...and brushes. LOL!

You have quite a gracious attitude toward that caught-between-opposites journey.

It was so easy. When my dad was not there, I just helped my mother with a little housework, laundry and did the dishes, then went to my room, read, drew and painted. When my dad was there, I was his shadow and he was my hero. Easy peasy.

Thank you LeRoy. That's a tough question. I started drawing and painting when I was 4 years old. My dad gave me my first camera at 10 and built a dark room for me.

Painting is something at which one improves a little every time they paint. I am not so sure that happens with photography. I think my photography was better with film and much harder for me with digital.

This may sound crazy but I have loved to paint horses since 4 years old but I never want to photograph horses.
I don't like to paint people. I'd rather photograph them. I'd rather photograph dogs than paint them but paint wild animals instead of photographing them...soooooo I think my love for them is very close to equal... but not quite sure which way it leans.

Sorry it took all that to reach that simple answer. It took some thinking. LOL!
