My wife makes the food for Hendricks, a Shih Tzu, Maltese mix. Hamburger, peas, carrots etc. We question some of the food brands that are out there.

Chicken , rotisserie , or parts are cheaper then can food , and maybe better ??? . Also cooked ground beef .

Dogs need raw meat like their ancestors ate. We feed our dog raw meat from a local farm and sometimes also use raw chicken or turkey from Sam's Club.

I just received the "good" dog food I ordered. Actor Katherine Heigl has a lengthy ad on YouTube promoting Badlands Ranch dog food. A few days ago, I watched the entire ad, which ran for several minutes. Then I ordered a bunch. I offered some to my dog, and he gobbled it up. He's a small dog, a dachshund, so he doesn't eat a huge amount of food.

I've been feeding him Purina Healthy Choice (or something like that) for years, but the ingredients in Badlands seem much better. I have several bags of this food in different flavors, and I'll see how it goes. For dinner, I heat frozen meatballs and add them to his food, and I'll continue doing that. He also gets "people food." At 13, he's still lively and alert, and I'd like to maintain that.

I to ordered that food my Gucci loved it went through 2.5 bags, unfortunately the food gave him terrible diarrhea thought at first just change of food so waited a week or so to see if it stopped but no it didn’t, I called them to see if I could return the other 4 bags, they said ok pd for return and also credited me for all 6 bags plus the postage and handling. I was just sorry he couldn’t take it as he did love it and couldn’t wait to eat

Yes, that is odd. How can you order without knowing what you're ordering?

The link I got had a 24 oz bag and also 4 oz. The 24 oz seemed like a good size.

It was the 4oz ones I got as they ask what type of dog and the weight and that is what they recommend for me, just wished it didn’t give him the problem as Gucci really liked the food

I bought the 24 oz bags, and then they offered me three more at a reduced price. I was disappointed when I realized that they were only four ounces and not much cheaper. I'll u7se the food I have now mixed in with the Purina and people food.

YES! God made canines to eat RAW meat although dogs lived long and well on table scraps many many years ago.
RAW meat makes an old dog feel young again. Found that out for myself and think everyone with dogs should see this site.

I cook for my dogs no different than I cook for my wife and I...just different spices.

Some foods they cannot eat...so I stay in their wheelhouse.

Lots of veggies and meats...some cooked...some raw.

Dry dog food is used as a small base once a day so we get the expensive stuff...just to make sure.
