I could if my PC had a DVD drive. It does not and I don't miss it. If I begin to miss it, I can buy a portable one and connect to my PC. My music collection is on a dedicated SSD internal drive. I have 50,000+ files with many being entire albums. I listen to music via my Sonos system that accesses all my files via wi-fi. Wonderful sound, vast library of jazz, classical and some older pop. I still have all my old stereo components but they are not connected. The Sonos system is so convenient and the sound is fabulous.

Be well, Mac! You are a valuable asset of UHH and the world!

I could if my PC had a DVD drive. It does not and ... (show quote)

You watch movies on your PC rather than a television? I only watch on a PC (laptop) while in hotel rooms, and even then, it is occasionally it's possible to connect to the room TV by HDMI, though most hotels don't let you use the TV's remote to switch input. Is your PC connected to a TV?

I have two 4K UHD players connected to two house TVs, one is 55 inch and the other 65 inch. The 65 inch is on the wall in the master bedroom. Half of the reason to watch old 70mm Cinemascope movies like David Lean epics is to appreciate the photography. It can't be done on a computer screen.

I think you did not understand my post. No, I don’t watch movies on my PC. I watch on a 65” smart TV.

I think the reply from the Bandido is even more famous (although it’s usually mis-quoted):

Gold Hat: Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges.

heh, heh and after the banditos say ...

"Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges." ...

Bogie sez ... "Are you sure about that?" (additional dialogue I supply )

I guess I did misunderstand. A couple of us were discussing watching DVDs over streaming, and you made this statement.

"I could if my PC had a DVD drive. It does not and I don't miss it. If I begin to miss it, I can buy a portable one and connect to my PC."

This implied to me that you're watching TV on a PC. My mistake. Let's not dwell on it and get too far off course.

I believe that is from "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre"

Casablanca is my #1, all time, favorite movie

More famous quotes…including the most famous one that wasn’t actually in the movie…than just about any other movie. Truly a classic…

I'll be 87 in two weeks. My photo was taken around 2000. I drink lots of 3 & 1 oil and spray WD40 in all my joints.

Thanks for the reply,
Mark

Ourbon man…tastes far better than 3 & 1.

Michael Curtiz. One of my favorite directors. Used shadows so well.

as in any photography, 'B&W' shadows are much better than 'color' shadows.

Color can overwhelm the frame. In many cases color can distract from the image. I am not disparaging color, but I wish more people would experiment with monochrome.

Casablanca is in my top 20, along with The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Maltese Falcon and the African Queen. All outstanding Bogie flicks! One of my favorite scenes of all time is Bogie's chutzpah in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre when he, a lone Yank in Mexico, says to the bandidos ... "Where's your badges? You need badges."

I believe she said "I don't need to show you no stinking badge"
