Your tone control here is striking. As well I like the potential stories of the two birds together and the one alone.

I love it. I'm not fond of high key, but this is snow season, so I can assume it's snow. I really, really like the minimalist feel of the image.

Thank you very much, Kathy! Yes, freshly fallen snow in a field that is dirt and sagebrush and other weeds. It was also foggy, so there were no harsh shadows.

It was a quick shot out my car window in a series of attempting to get "something" as a large number of quail raced hither and yon I'm very happy with the result and I'm delighted that you like it also.

I just love this image. I like B&W probably better than color and this just touches my sweet spot. Very well done!!
