Thank You everyone for all the different replies.
I've now got tickets for my wife and I to attend one in Tucson. She used to teach English in Taiwan years ago and speaks enough Mandarin Chinese to get us thrown out of the concert hall. I'll just say don't know that crazy lady.
Be sure to report back & share your thoughts about the show. Have FUN, too!

Has anyone attended one of Shen Yuns performances? If so, what is your opinion?
Religious messaging from Falun Gong
Heavy handed political message, which you can get just by reading the news daily. We went once several years ago, never again.
BTW, for the person who claimed he saw it in Beijing, it's not possible. The group that sponsors this show (Fa Lung Gong) is banned in China. And Chinese police don't use long sticks, that's India.
I have seen it and loved it. I would go again but not every year. I do not remember any political statements so either I forgot (I saw it 3-4 years ago) or they were minimal.

We did, last year. It was OK. A mixture of ballet and modern dance. I am not sure it was worth the hefty ticket price.

Yes I have attended several times when in Las Vegas only missing this year as will be out of town, the colours and dancing is absolutely fantastic would recommend to anyone
When their ads say Experience China before Communism, I'd think there would be a bit of politics/information about the government that wants to round them up, torture, or even kill them for their beliefs. Finally they get to practice their religion without that fear. Kudos to them.
I attended a performance several years ago.
I have subsequently learned that this is an AMERICAN group (most of the performers live in the USA).
Although the performers are skilled dancers and acrobats, the overall message is religious (cult-like) and anti-PRC.
Also, although they have multiple shows, they are basically the same from year to year.
I would not go again.

Not just anti-PRC, extreme right-wing conspiracy promoters in the US. They’re the group behind The Epoch Times.
