Not entirely safe if you happen to have a cat who likes to "make biscuits" in your lap though.

I suspect the cat will learn that.
I went to college in northern Minnesota. Bemidji was the self proclaimed 'icebox of the nation.' My wife (then my girlfriend) & I would walk from the dorms to the local Bridgeman's Ice cream store. Walking back to the dorms, we would have to wait till we got back inside to eat the ice cream. It was frozen too hard to eat while we were outside.
Creme brulee and an espresso! Go get 'em Cindy!
Tonight it's gonna be hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps...yummy (at least to me it is!)
I can eat ice cream all year. Häagen-Dazs is my favorite brand by far
Given a choice, mine would be hot apple pie with vanilla ice cream melting on top.

Alcohol? Worst choice in freezing weather.
Over the years I've read several medical opinions stating one of the best options is ice cream. Ice cream quickly becomes the same temperature as the stomach and generates heat as it begins the food break-down process, and continues to do so until completion of its designed purpose.
Another advantage of having ice cream as dessert is: no matter how full you are you can always have ice cream as dessert because it melts and falls into the cracks in whatever is in the stomach. LOL
I was thinking Bourbon or Gin...but okay...ice cream...with Bourbon.
If ice cream, how about an good old fashioned hot fudge sundae?
