Please accept that I am not picking on you. I'm just interested in language and usage. Why do you (and many others) start a sentence with "So?" Is it regional, age specific, or other? Is it like the "Eh" in Canada?

I have noticed this also as a general situation that I think started with the west coast IT crowd. Then it became
de-reguerre with government types like Janet Yellin, explaining the questions she was getting. It certainly is a lazy way of speaking, and explaining a concept. Also, it kind of infers a talking down to you situation, like "so I'm going to explain it so that even you can understand it" type attitude. Hopefully, everyone else will start to see this "so" usage and it will stop!

So I am looking at an item on Amazon. It states the seller is Adorama. I have never purchased anything from Adorama. Free shipping and free returns via Amazon is a benefit. Would anyone share their experience please. I did a search on Adorama but the posts were old. Thanks.

--------
I have purchased things from Adorama on multiple occasions, and also from B&H and KEH. I haven't had any problems with any of my purchases from any of them.

This is a photo section. Chit Chat would be a great place to ask this. It would not be limited to photographers.

Amazon lets this party sellers sell on Amazon, if they agree to certain conditions. Free returns are not one of them, but most agree. Sometimes Amazon will still make it right, at least they have for me. Just read the fine print.

Great store and wonderful videos on You Tube.

Totally agree with A10. My go-to photography stores are B&H and Amazon but I have ordered some items from Adorama and again, as A10 says, great store and wonderful videos.

Before my custom photo lab, studio and I retired in 2008, we used to buy several thousand $$ of darkroom paper, chemicals, film and other sundries from Adorama who were around the corner from us on 18th Street off 6th Avenue, here in Manhattan, NYC's "Photo District". I currently also buy specials online to make sure they are in stock at the advertised price, pay and then pick them up as they are 3-1/2 blocks away from where I live.

Also, we used to spend thousands at B&H Photo when they were on 17th Street as well.

In all the decades of dealing with both companies, we never had a problem!

Be well! Happy New Year! Ed

I have not made a major purchase from them. The minor items that I have gotten from them were the correct items. That said, twice the packaging had been ripped open and taped together. It appeared as though I received Open Box goods without that being disclosed at the time of purchase.

I have heard great things about them. I’m in the process of trading in some of my old gear to them.

I just (Nov.22) bought my MacBook Pro 2023 from them. I have bought from Adorama since 1985. Reliable Shop, also their AdoramaPix printing shop.
