Maybe it's my monitor, but for what you spent on that equipment, I would have expected a sharper image.

It is wonderfully sharp from foreground to background on my 4K monitor. But of course with UHH photo compression and image file size restrictions, you wont see all the resolution and image quality here in UHH. It cant be posted at full 61mp image resolution here in UHH, but you must know that by now. Be sure to click on download to see better image quality, but it still can't be full 61mp resolution here in UHH.

And of course my creative choice of 1/80 second shutter speed was to show motion in the water crashing against the rocks.

With 50 year as a National and International Award-winning and successful working pro, shooting all subjects around the world, I know how to get the most out of my equipment, no problem.

BTW, a huge full-resolution print of this shot has been exhibited in museums.

Cheers and best to you.

What you may lack in talent can be accomplished with another 30 megapixels.

I think it's a great image. I'm a big fan of slow shutter speed photos of moving water. It creates a sense of motion in an otherwise still image. Snapshots of "frozen" water never appeal to me. For those that disagree, that's my "opinion" only.

Professional or Photo Enthusiast, there is nothing wrong with being proud/happy with the equipment we have acquired. Many of us are quite content in that regard.

For now I am satisfied with the MP rating on the Nikon D850 and Z9. I have shot Olympus and Nikon digitals going back to 2000 and each new iteration of camera has just gotten better. At Mr. CHG_CANON continued harping of being the best by buying a mirrorless camera, I upped my game and bought the Z9. It's more than enough camera and megapixels for me at this time. But I have G.A.S. continuously so I am sure when Nikon comes out with more MP I will sally forth and procure said improvement. Merry Christmas,,, shutters full.

61mp Sony A7RIV since they first came out in 2019. Loved it. I recently traded it in and upgraded to 61mp A7RV to go with my A1, and A7SIII.

Here a 61mp shot with my 61mp A7RIV and my Sigma Art 24-70mm f2.8 DG DN lens. The Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, California , USA. 24mm, ISO 200, f8, 1/80 sec. handheld.

Cheers and best to you all.

Are you sure this is 61 megapixels? Looks a lot like 16 megapixels still pretty

Going off topic here, but hey, clicks are good, right?

You don't seem to like anybody's photos on UHH. Do you like anything by any of the "name photographers"? Like Saul Leiter for example?

If we gave two people a digital camera and lens, and after a week we learned one camera has twice as many pixels at the other, who do you think was the better photographer?

One extra rule: they go shoot under same or similar circumstances and the results are judged without knowing which camera they came from.

Some are pleased with what they have and don't care if it it s "third rate camera".
Some simply don't have to have the best, largest, up-to-date camera.
Some do.........

As I have noted, it is not MY judgement that cameras below 50 to 60MP are inferior. Its the owners who apparently feel that way. They all crowd into a poll concerning high rez cameras with their unsolicited defensive remarks about not owning the type of camera included in the poll. Thaz how theyre displaying THEIR OWN dark feelings that their 12 to 24MP cameras are just damnt uglee children. No one asked them. They all volunteered.

"That's why I've had my 18MP for, oh, 13 years?"

Not trying to outdo you Longshadow but I've had my 5D for longer than that, when I got it is lost in the mists of time. Harry
