Because we need another boring thread about AI. Can we got back to something important, like whether we need filters to protect our lenses or should we use aftermarket batteries?

AI is the new aftermarket battery filter

How is that different than posting about another art medium, say painting, and claim it is to inform photographers what is going on in making paintings, maybe photorealistic paintings to tie it in with photography?

good question

Amazing - it keeps getting better by the day! We will have to start putting disclaimers on images whether they are real or not. It's not only getting better for still photography, but also for video and animation - we had a discussion in the office yesterday about this (I work for a company that produces, broadcasts and licenses esports content.) Many legal, ethical and practical implications. Nevertheless, we can keep living out our AI fantasies!

Thanks for the selfie, jlg1000!

Hmm, maybe I should be worried instead of laughing...

Interesting, I'm too old to worry about it. Can barely use Photoshop. Won't bother trying to use AI. I can see what is left of the market for nature photography drying up.

What market? Are people getting rich from nature photography? HotographyI suspect most nature photographers are like me. My photography, nature and otherwise, is for my own satisfaction and enjoyment. That’s not gonna change.

In my previous post over AI generated, many - correctly - pointed out that there were many defects, especially with the hands, plastiky skin, etc.

Being myself involved in AI research, I continued improving on the matter and wanted to share a sample of my latest results. BTW I've got new hardware... this partly allows me to create more complex imaginery.

As before, Many will ahhh... point out, that it this is not the place for such a post and that it should be ostracized to some obscure sub-forum.

Still, I believe I belongs here - and of course NOT in the photo gallery - because my intentions are to inform this prestigious community on the state of the art on AI image creation and to stir discussion on how it might affect photography.

Full disclosure: ** No, they are not real and I did not use any photo of any kind **
In my previous post over AI generated, many - corr... (show quote)

For all those that think AI will never reach sentience take a look at:

With the processing power of a human brain an AI will be indiscernible from a human being...

Here's another worry as a result of 'using' AI, one that perhaps outweighs the threats to stuff like how it will affect photography and the like. An excellent speaker like most who do TED talks.

I don't think it belongs here or the photo gallery, it belongs in the AI section, because that's what it is about.

My list of sections does not include anything regarding AI.
