This stunner is a 1939 Maybach SW 38 Sports Roadster. This car, according to owners, was said to " ooze class and drip style ". The auto press at the time was a little more reserved. but no less emphatic....simply stating that Maybach built the most luxurious and exciting cars in the world. In fact, several sources reporting on performance reported speeds of a little more than 120 MPH. In total, Maybach built a little over 500 cars, with about 120 still in existence.
That is actually one car I would love to have, Tom. Where do you hear about all these car show? Are they local to you?
There is a new Aston Martin dealer near us, and a couple of days ago I stopped in. The car I sat in was a $2m + prototype. Beautiful. The interesting thing for me was that its console was very similar to that of my Prius Prime. No test drive. Too bad.
