Very nice shots! I hope to capture some bear activity when going to AK in May. I know it will be about three weeks early (before the fish begin their upstream journey), but hopefully, there will be some bears hungry from their winter hibernation and scrounging around for some earlycomers. Looking at the video of Brooks Falls it appears a lot of fish do not make it up the fall -- I wonder what percentage do. It seems like after they try several times they would be too exhausted and never make it upstream. Also, when do they know they've gone upstream far enough? I guess using the Darwinian idea, the strongest make it the farthest upstream and are most likely to survive since the weaker group becomes bear food!

You should see bears. I think they go upstream to a lake, can’t think of the name and that is where they stop. I also hope the fish can’t think too much, the bears would be terrifying! You will love Alaska!
