get use to using exposure compensation. It is so much easier on your new Z vs the 850

Amazon makes mistakes. I once ordered a specialty metal-cutting Nicholson file for a project I had in process. I received an entire case of them. I contacted Amazon and they were pleased to send me a label to return the ones I didn't need (all but one) without having to pay shipping. Since the box of files weighed several pounds, that was a
considerable sum. I expect the file I kept to last longer than I do. On another occasion I ordered a new Nikon camera on sale, received a "reconditioned" camera that had a problem. Nikon wouldn't honor the warranty because it was reconditioned. Amazon supplied a complete new package without question.

Thanks, I'll check it out.
Yes, that would be nice :)
You seriously said 'wifey"?
You will need to buy a lens to go with it. There is no turning back now!

Critical question, did you have to pay for it?
I suspect there is a touch of humor in this post. He came up with a good story to tell his wife.

I think if I tried to pull that trick I wouldn't get a hot meal for months......maybe years.
Probably not the only thing you would go without. 🤔

I purchased the adapter with the Z8 to use the F mounts lenses from the D850. Hope that will work OK.

Enjoy your Z8 and any punishment for getting it ! In addition to Thom Hogan's guide, which I have and use for my Z9, check out the various e books from Steve Perry at Backcountry. I suggest his AF mirrorless secrets book and his Z9/Z8 guide. I have both of them.
https://bcgwebstore.com/Already downloaded Thom Hogan's PDF which is almost 1300 pages. Also, I suspect Steve Perry is probably a fantastic authority on Auto Focus so I'll download his too......probably today.

Correct, Jerry. Just my humor. Loving the Z8 thus far. Funny you mention the wife. As usual, she does NOT share my sense of "need" for the Z8 but being a good sport about it. Can't blame her. I doubt that any of us "need" the Z8 but hey, we're photographers :).
