A few days ago, I ordered from Amazon a few office supplies and to my surprise, a brand new Nikon Z8, which I've been thinking about for many months, arrived at my front door. Now, all of you know Amazon will take back almost anything for almost any reason except for new cameras. So, what is a person to do? The wifey not too impressed with my "story". Anyhow, any tips and tricks from you Nikon Z8 owners? I upgraded from the D850 and so far, just inputting settings. I also purchased the PDF manual from Thom Hogan.
Critical question, did you have to pay for it?
How interesting that you just happened to order a manual for the particular model of camera that magically appeared on your doorstep. I guess stranger things have happened…
OP just wanted everybody to hear about his good fortune.
Hopefully we will be seeing some photos soon.

iI have found that sometimes lens' reproduce if left in the bag too long.
My daughter ordered a case of printer paper & got a robot vacuum cleaner. Her card was charged for the paper. She returned the vacuum cleaner.
I think if I tried to pull that trick I wouldn't get a hot meal for months......maybe years.

Pulling that kind of shenanigans is makes you a fibber. Now in my case a similar thing happened with some expense deep sea fishing gear. That is acceptable and only makes me a good fisherman. Happy holidays.

Matt Granger sells a very detailed setup guide for the Z8
Yes, I was just trying to be funny. Yes, I ordered the Nikon Z8 from Amazon after "thinking" about it for a while. I really am enjoying it and as I said before, just setting it up. I ordered the "combo" package where it included the adapter so I can use my F lenses from my D850.
Thanks, I'll check it out.
Wow, as per below, I was just kidding. Sounds to me like Amazon really did make a mistake with your daughter. I guess that's bound to happen considering the volume they do.
