Thanks, as an aside I was just returning to Cheyenne from a month of roaming the southeast coast and upper Midwest and this was the last last series of images I shot on the trip.

Great shot, particularly the first one! Love the colors and composition - good eye!

Thanks for looking, as I was shooting these images I was looking for ways to enhance the composition but finally decided the charm of the scene was in its simplicity.

Driving across Kansas on rt 36 on a frosty early morning. Just before dawn I passed this old farmhouse and had to whip around to take a few shots. As I had recently purchased an HDR program I did three shot bursts at one stop intervals to see what I could do with the program. My aim was to get the farmhouse as true to what I was seeing as possible. That slightly exaggerated the sky but not too much. The Great Plains can really do a show with sunrise/sunset scenes without much help.

No 1 was using the HDR program.
No 2 was minimally processed using PhotoNinja and GIMP.
What do you think?

Like them both. Seems to be different light so I have difficulty comparing. I prefer #1.

Couple of good images but I like the first one Shootist. Looks like it was a fine home in it's day.
