I started with a cheap Canon my dad got at a pawn shop, loved it, and got caught up in at that time an expense hobby. got two A1s and started wedding photography and been with Canons ever since. It's kinda like cars, some love Chevys, some love Mustangs, and some even Dodges...lol its what you like that counts right?

My Canon F-1n. Fits in my hands perfectly, all of the controls are exactly where they are supposed to be, built like a tank, has never failed me, works without a battery, has all of the controls you need and nothing extra, I could keep going forever but I won't.

Yes, it was a tank. It was a great camera.

I started with Canon, but I got a great buyon a Nikon, and I have been with Nikon since. But I am under to impression that it doesn't matter what camera you use, you learn how to use it and you do that best that you can. Whatever camera, you have to learn how to use it, it is just a tool.

With the wrong camera, success is probably 99% luck. But with a mirrorless camera, it's 100% the photographer.

I have more cameras than a person should and I seem to like my Nikon Z-50's most of all.

I 'just like' my Olympus E-20. It's simple, not a lot of added on doo-dads. I could use my older flash units on it like my Stroboflash and Braun F-900. It is powered by 4-AA batteries. It doesn't have interchangeable lenses but the zoom is more than sufficient for the work I do. And the lens is sharp.

I think someone mentioned the Canon 80D.
I have the 90D with the Tamson 18-400 lens and it does all I ask of it for my purposes.

Fun little add on. I was gifted an Argus C-3. This is a manual, manual camera. Nicknamed "The Brick" and I can hardly wait to give it a try! I plan to grab the grand daughters for that first roll. The best I can tell, it was made in 1939 or 1940. I find the old cameras are just fun to shoot.

I used a brick for decades. Great little camera, made in Ann Arbor Michigan. My Dad was working as an inspector for an insurance company and did an inspection at the Argus plant. They gave him a C-3 and he passed it on to me.

I have started to use that camera, and it is a nice camera. Of course, I use my old Nikon lenses on it.

My Canon R5. I don’t have to think too much about it. After a year and a half I’m still blown away by what it can do.

I LIKE MY Sony A7rV.

True, it's fairly new, but so far it is the best thing I have experienced as yet in the cameras that I had before this one.

It could be ease of use, results, handling, fun to use or any of those and more. It may even be a camera that you return to even when, by some measures, it is obsolete.

My 2012 Pentax X-5 "Superzoom" 16 MP bridge camera is one. I was surprised they were still going for around $120 when most others from that time were $30.

Fast handling, easy control, but not much manual exposure options and a decent lens. It does have some visual highlight/shadow warnings that are handy in the less-than-perfect EVF. More than once I've returned to it, or rediscovered shots taken with it that I liked.

Thoughts?
Stepping away from comparing specs, is there a cam... (show quote)

My choices of all my cameras are my D90s. Love the ergonomics, uses all of my lenses an produces great images. $150 in excellent condition and low shutter count.
