I still return to my Canon SX50 HS bridge camera occasionally. I took a great shot of the eclipse back in '17 with it. The zoom range is better than anything I have in my ILCs and is so much lighter than what would be required to get 1200mm (35 equiv) angle of view with them. It stands atop a tripod looking out at my back yard waiting for a good bird shot.

I have a D500 and a D780. I love the D780. Easy to use and great pics.

I have a D500 that I bought years ago along with slower, less expensive, lighter and less sharp zoom lenses than those on the d850 with two f2.8 lenses, that are sharper, heavier and at least twice expensive and one less expensive wide angle.
That said around the house and events I can get to by not flying I take the D850 and the 3 lenses. Overseas I take the lighter D500 with 2 lenses. The D500 does well enough most of the time. But I cannot crop and get sharp large photos. Good thing is my shoulder does not hurt as much as it does using the D850.

I wish I had the nikon 200 to 500 sometimes; but I don't want the weight.

Last week I learned I have a torn rotator cuff on right shoulder. I see a surgeon in about 2 weeks.

My Sony a6000. I bought one for my daughter back in 2017 and liked it so much I bought one for me.
