Nice image, Dennis. And it does bring back memories of playing with Lincoln Logs.

If you go back there, check to see if they are dropping any seeds. I'd like to have some. Anyway, great shot!!!

There is an oddly pleasant interest with a symbolic anonymity of these poles. Maybe Prairie Whac-a-mole?

I love the comment. Thanks for taking a look.

At least they're grown in the USA.

Thank you very much for stopping by and commenting favorably.

As I just emailed an old friend about these Lincoln Logs,

"Just like photos of wagon wheel ruts left from the expansion of America in the 1840’s and on, I think these most likely started out as planted tiny little seedling Lincoln Logs maybe an inch high, perhaps even by some of those early settlers, and then forgotten as people moved farther West. The passing of time has come and gone and yet these remnants of a bygone history of our great land remain as stalwart (I have to look that word up) examples of our great history."

If you were sitting with me having a cup of coffee, alberio, you would notice that definitely brought out a few chuckles. Yes they are grown in the USA. These are still growing and no telling what they might be used to build in the future.

Heh heh, that’s a good one. Gotta wonder what the history is behind those “Lincoln Logs.” Thanks for sharing your find. Fun pic.

Well, they did have to build all those log cabins out of something! I never knew they just "harvested" them, though.
