Thanks...yeah they do that quite a bit... a resting position...or is it?
I watched a pair come in (one is the last image) together to the same tree.
One hugged the trunk and stayed totally still...the other hopped up a branch and started to climb out to the edges...
Making a big display of it...spread the wings...the whole bit...
Then it very slowly flew away in a straight line...so everything could see it go.
The other one...a statue for ten minutes...they have tricks.
Great images. Baby Osprey need to eat as well.

I'm out yesterday on my deck after turning on the pump to top off one of the ponds...and I just glance up...and the thug was right there.
Came up empty...but he'll be back...they always come back.
Superb - and I always love those eyes 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Those eyes...you're right...unless you're a mouse or fish seeing them.
Thanks...it's the time of year...they hunt more on the property around this time...preparing to nest...building up the female.
Another big uptick is when the young are born...they become P-51 fighters then...game on.
