I have 4 Tamrons
15-30 2.8 G2
24-70 2.8 G2
70-200 2.8 G2
150 - 600 5-6.3 G2

I use them with great success on my D850. I know there not Nikons but they work for me.

That may be a rule to live by, but there are exceptions. When I did the research, I found that the Sigma 24-70 f2.8 for Sony was every bit as good on all levels as the Sony"G Master" f2.8 that cost $1,000.00 more. This lens has given me the most usage, and best quality images over the past two years than any other lens I own. I had the firmware updated by Sigma at WPPI after Sony came out with the A7IV. There is no question that some third party lenses are as good or better than OEM. To deny this is foolish.

Well said. Limiting oneself to OEM glass may have been a rule to live by in the 20th century, but it's just foolish today. But some of us can't or won't let go of the past.

I use Canon and Sigma lenses and am happy with them. The reason I think Sigma and Tamron do so well is mainly price.
