When you contacted Adobe Technical Support via their Chat option, what did they say?

When you googled the error message text, what comments from other PS users did you find and action?

You have such a nice way of saying things.

Also when you say "purged", be sure to empty the Recycle Bin too. Otherwise the space is still used and applications will still be starved for space.

I’m not sure what the Win ‘rules’ are; space in the recycle bin are available/ready for reuse {by definition}, but under certain rules.

Yes, I'm not 100% sure what the rules are either, but as opposed to many security cameras that write over the oldest files, the Windows Recycle Bin doesn't do that. I believe it is supposed to send you a "disk" full error message, but some people have problems with Windows not releasing space even after files are deleted and the Recycle bin emptied. Not sure if the problem applies only to Virtual Machines.
